How to live an exciting life

choice

Sometimes when God shows us the big picture of what He is calling us to, it seems over whelming, or even undo-able. Yet when we take things step by step, keeping our eyes firmly focused on him, life gets fairly easy to manage.

Take for instance this blog, when God told me to start it, I did so in obedience to Him, and yet had my doubts on how long it would last, as my blog track record was something like 0 and 4. I started them in my own power and about five posts in they died a horrible blog death (whatever that is).

However this blog is different. God not only started it, He sustains it by putting on my heart what next to write about.

I cannot tell you how strongly I know that God wants you to

Expect His Goodness!!!

This is an area that we as Christians need to come up in, as most of us have various reasons for not expecting any good thing from God.

I know in my spirit that this is a topic that I will be writing more and more about in the future, but for this post let me just say that

if you are reading this God wants you to know that His Goodness has nothing to do who you are or what you deserve.

It has to do with who He is.

A.W. Pink states that…..

The goodness of God is the life of the believer’s trust. It is this excellency in God which most appeals to our hearts. Because His goodness endureth forever, we ought never to be discouraged.

How can we trust God to move in our lives in a great way unless we trust Him to be good to us!

If you struggle in this area ask him to show you why?

He is faithful to do so.

God wants us to be excited about what He is going to do in our lives!!!

He wants to watch and wait for His goodness.

Just like the photo above shows, it is our choice about how we are to live.

Are we to live a bored life, always focused on self (and what we can or cannot do in our own strength)?

Or are we going to be determined to live an exciting life expecting the Goodness of God around every turn.

Knowing that He longs to be good to us!!!

God Loves you and has great thing in store for you!!! May your faith be strengthened to trust Him!

Why God wants us to appear foolish

Faith

I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13, NLT)

People think I am crazy, that is no joke.

They think I am nuts to believe that God would be so good to me, that even though the odds are stacked far against me, that He would get me a job in England and give me money to move there.

But doesn’t the word say that it is our faith that moves mountains! It is not our “kind of-maybe-sometimes-a-little-bit-half-hearted-belief,” but our Faith!

What is faith?

The Bible says that “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

I have been assured by God that His will for me is England.

When God gives us a call on our life it is wise to give it back to God saying “I am believing that you are calling me to do this, at this time, if it is not you God then please redirect my steps.”

If He does not redirect our steps then He wants us to just have faith and believe.

He wants to open the doors for us to the miraculous so that other Christians will be amazed at what He has done and begin to trust Him to work in their life in a greater way.

God wants unbelievers to see our faith and hunger for God’s hand in their own life.

What is the radical thing is God calling you to believe for?

Have you given it back to God?

Have you stepped out in faith and shared with others?

If you are waiting to share about Gods goodness until “after” He makes “it” happen, then you will not have the “FAITH IMPACT” on others that you were supposed to have.

Jesus never told anyone “your kinda believing has made you whole” or “Never have I seen such great half-hearted belief.”

I believe that God wants us to look like fools, so that when He comes through people will notice!

Jesus is calling you out to the deep.

Believe Big and when God settles in your heart what to believe for, Share Bigger!!!

I have no idea what is in store for me there but I know that God’s plans for me are good.

As are His plans for you!!!

So believe your marriage will be restored!!!!

Believe that your sick child will be made whole!!!!

Believe that you will succeed in your business!!!!

And even believe that God will make a way and a life for me and my son in England!!!!

Remember…

We are call believers not watch-wait-and-seeers!”

Watch God and be amazed!!!!

Now that is something to get excited about!

If you have been reduced to God being

your only hope, you are in a good place. ~ Jim Laffoon

Why is that?

Because as the old saying goes “When you are down to nothing God is up to something.”

When I finally started living for God I thought, “I am just going to take Him at His word. I am just going to trust and see if He comes through.”

What I found was that He always, ALWAYS made a way where I thought there could be no way.

There were too many “coincidences” for them to not be “miracles.”

So these days when I find myself in a position of needing God to come through, or it all seems to be falling apart, I tend to freak out a little first (though those periods are getting shorter and shorter), before I remind myself of how good God is. How He has never let me down before.

And then it hits me,

I start feeling over the top EXCITED!!!

I am so freaken excited right now because I need to see God come through in a huge way and I know that He will!!!

As the Bible says in Ephesians 6:13 we are to do our part and “after [we] have done everything, [we are] to stand.

And I believe that He wants us to stand, waiting with expectant hope.

What miricale do you need to happen? Do all you can do and then stand!

And while you are standing, waiting excitedly for God to do something amazing, tell others about your journey.

The world needs encouragement but more than anything they need God.

They need to know him as their loving father who will never leave them.

When you allow the joy of the Lord to turn to excitement you are like a lighthouse standing on a hill. People cannot help but notice.

And when He comes through for you, Talk About It!!!!!!

Do not hide your light!!!

Shine!!!
