I woke up to this…

door

So I wake up with this song playing in my head, which in itself is not unusual as God often wakes me up with a song, and each time He does it means something.

The song is by Jason Gray, titled, “With every act of love” and has the lyrics (which are the ones I heard).

God put a million,

million doors in the world

For His love to walk through

One of those doors is you

Immediately I thought about England. How He has yet to open the door.

Then I thought of how we used to be a host family for Japanese students.

I always thought it was wonderful how we would meet people though the program that we would never have met otherwise. It was a wonderful experience, both for my family and for the student as well (as I gathered from their goodbye letters).

I know that God has called me to England for the same reason.

There are people I need to meet, and who need to meet me, so that I can be Gods hands and feet.

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.- 1 Peter 4:11

The “open door” for England has not opened, and yet I know that God will open it soon, as He did not lead me all this way for nothing.

Please join me in praying for me to receive an open door to England, and for the “ministry” that He has called me to will begin to take shape before me.

Please pray also the God will give me the courage and strength to walk through the door, once opened.

I covet all your prayers and will pray for you as well.

Warning

Warning.

If we build it He will come (and bring this with Him)

boat

Those that know me, or have been following my story here, will know that I have one phase embedded deep within me…

God is Faithful!!!!!

So it does not matter that I look a little bit like Noah, building a boat in a desert for 120 years, because in exactly the right time, in His time,  I know that God will bring the rain!!!

It is in these times where we do not see God working that we have to remind ourselves of how faithful God was to us in the past.

Are you waiting on a miracle?

Remember

God is faithful to bring it!!!!

Do you need direction?

Remember

God is faithful to give it!!!!!

Do you need restoration?

Remember

God is faithful to restore!!!!!!!

If we are earnestly seeking His will for our lives, He will lead us.

As the John 11 reminds us, He is “The Good Shepard.”

So if you are submitted to Him then it doesn’t matter what it looks like in the natural, He is faithful to get you to where you need to be!!!

It really does not matter how many people tell you that you are crazy,or how many times you have doubted yourself.

God is faithful for His sake and for ours!!!

Keep building your ark!!

100 Posts, 7 reasons, and 1 freaken amazing quote

100

Anyone who knows me knows I suck at blogs (can I say that…ok I “stink” at them).

I have tried (and failed) at starting a blog more times that I can shake a stick at (whatever the heck that means).

To me blog writing always equaled homework (something I had to do) and so I started many blogs that were fated to die a quick death. I thought I was done…but then God…

Trusting God (this blog) was different because

1. God put on my heart to start a blog (wasn’t sure about what)

2. I mentioned it to my pastor (because I knew my history)

3. We prayed

4. The idea popped in my head,  I was amazed “Trusting God” that plus my writing is what I do, the perfect fit

5. I took a step of faith and for the first time payed for a professional blog, professional layout, and all the fixings (as God led …usually my blogs were freebies with lots of distracting adds)

6. I quickly fell in love with posting (why because I love God with all my heart and know that encouraging Christians to trust him just that much more, is my thing.

7. This is the 100th post….proof that there is a God!!!

In honor of that fact I offer up the following From All in From Mark Patterson

“When did we start believing that God wants to send us to safe places to do easy things? That faithfulness is holding the fort? That playing it safe is safe? That there is any greater privilege than sacrifice?  That radical is anything but normal?

Jesus didn’t die to keep us safe. He died to make us dangerous.

Faithfulness is not holding the fort. It is storming the gates of hell.

The will of God is not an insurance plan. It’s a daring plan.

The complete surrender of your life to the cause of Christ isn’t radicle it’s normal.

It’s time to quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death.

It’s time to go all in and all out for the All in All.

The number one hindrance to our calling

The number one hindrance to our calling becoming a reality is unbelief. ~  Beth Moore

(See Hebrews 3:17-18)

Don’t let this stop you

trust

We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes.
~ John Fitzgerald Kennedy

So much of my life was lived in fear. I wasted the first half of it because I simply did not trust God and was led by fear instead of truth.

As I started to lean on Him for the small things He proved faithful and my faith was strengthened.

God placed a hope in me that I would reach people and share the power of his love.

He also gave me a destination. England.

Because He has always come through before, it makes sense that His asking me to leave my job, and trust Him to pay all my bills, while getting me a job in a country I have never been to, would be a cakewalk.

That there would be no fear involved.

But that is not the case. It is scary, All kind of fears want to take space in my head, thereby holding me back from doing all that I have been called to do.

The thing is, I do not listen to my fears, I listen to God. I once read a quote that said Courage is fear that has said it’s prayers.

What a world it would be if we simply prayed every time fear tried to gain entry. If we simply allowed God to lead us into all that He has for us without fear stopping us before we even got out the door.

God places the feeling of hopefulness inside you to allow you to shut out the voice of fear.

Lean into that.

And stop allowing what you see to dictate what God can do in and through you.

God is FAITHFUL he will see you through!!!
